Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Accounts Payable Clerk position will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. In addition, the position will be expected to complete special projects as needed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts Payable – for three entities
  • File material such as mail, vouchers, check runs, and billing due from accounts
  • Department of Motor Vehicle – for three entities
  • Pesticide Use Reporting (County)/Completions – for one entity
  • Maintain lot folders containing applications (Spray/Fertilizer), completions/plant sheets
  • Maintain support for payroll calculations/entries – For two entities
  • Total Nitrogen Applied Reporting – Salinas Growers
  • San Benito County Water District – Land owners forms
  • Ag questionnaires and surveys
  • Monterey County Water Resources Agency – Salinas growers water usage (Flowmeter readings)
  • Ag Property Statements – (Salinas growers) Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Capital Expenditure Requests – maintain support


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years of related experience in accounting
  • Experience in accounting for pesticide and herbicide applications and Famous is preferred.
  • Ag experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid California Driver License
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Data entry
